Sun Glasses Cases and Purses

Sun Glasses Case Collection by WoollyRockers

I was looking for a sunglasses case in the shops. I like HUGE sunglasses and a lot of cases were too small.....so I made a few!
I've been using a Micheal Miller "Prom" one myself for a few weeks now. That's the grey one with what look to me like, "Mad Men" inspired characters. I also love the Blythe doll fabric.

I also made some purses. These could be used as Make up bags, pencil cases, or for dolly bits & pieces. I've taken a few better pictures which you can see in detail at the shop.

I am still working on getting the zips in perfectly but these are acceptable, so they are priced accordingly.

Etsy Treasury feature!

I was very happy to day when I saw that my Scarlet O'Hara bag was featured in this 'Golden Age of Hollywood' treasury on Etsy.

Scarlett O'Hara bag

I really enjoyed making these. The quotes, especially and thinking about what materials and trims to use for the characters. Scarlett O'Hara just had to have green velvet! It reminds me of the when she makes a dress from the velvet curtains and dresses up to visit Rhett Butler in jail.

Helen Rochfort & yumminess!!

I bought a new handbag. After a few hours of drooling over pretty much everything available at
Helen Rochfort I thought that this Wonka Bar, Golden ticket bag was the most amazing thing Id even seen! I was at work when I found then via Dolly DaggerUK, Brighton based boutique. I showed it to my friend Melanie who immediately put and end to my dithering and very kindly clicked 'Add to cart' for me and said just get it! I'm very proud to share with you.....

Helen Rochfort Wonkabag
My first ever Limited Edition Helen Rochfort original! The thing I can't capture in a photo is the "scented"ness. It's definitely 'sweet smelling' . I think what she's done to produce this amazing range of bags is really clever. All the bag are the same basic silver base with pink lining. They are very well made and the quality is excellent and each design, like the biscuit, Sind doll, cherries etc, is then glued on the front and back, in some cases. I thing the scented ones have the images sprayed or soaked in some kind of flavouring, like vanilla.

This isn't a criticism. It's genius! Congratulations Helen. Amazing collection!

Little My from the Moomins

Little My! I have always liked Little My. I've seen soft toys but I thought I'd try to make one myself. (I know I have her hands the wrong colour - they should be black. I'll fix that next time if I make any more.
She was so much fun to make! ;)

Paper Doll Love

I've just spent quite a while browsing the Film & TV section here and I'm bowled over by these amazing vintage paper dolls. So many great outfits! I have really vivid memories of playing with these in the 70's. There was always one on the back of Twinkle Magazine, which I used to get every week.

I also remember making my own and colouring in the outfits with flowery patterns and stripes, then I had a very special Vivien Leigh Paper Doll book which was a real treat because it was expensive!

I am so in love with these. I'll have to be content with the pictures as they are to pretty to cut out and play with.
